fun fact: the long feathery hair is Mayonak'a's canon hairstyle but I chop his hair off when i get tired of his hair clipping. (the exception to this is when the graphics update made his face look absolutely terrible if he had long hair)

I've made a few recent attempts to paint my cat when she falls asleep on me. I have literally no idea what I'm doing lol but it's fun

I was curious if you use your finger or a stylus for your drawings and if you ever have trouble getting your phone to read your strokes correctly

Mayonak'a is my WoL and Motoko is my friend's
- "Did you hear me?" - gripping something/someone tightly The warrior of light sits cradled between his lover's long legs, the two of them submerged in a bathtub full of almost-too-hot water. He holds his knees to his chest and stares placidly at the tub as Motoko pours a pitcher of water over his head. The cacophony causes his ears to ring. "Did you hear me, Mayo?" Motoko's gentle voice wakes him from his fugue as the hair at the base of his ears is scrubbed. "No. I'm sorry, love," Mayonak'a says, lifting his head from his knees. He nestles himself against the other viera's chest, and Motoko envelops him tightly within his arms, every muscle in his body sighing with relief.

Mayonak'a was exiled from his home in his adolescence, so he has not returned in decades. After hearing this from Uvlo, he finally felt like he may be able to return someday. (if we ever get to visit the veena or rava homeland in game i will die fr) #mayolore #wolaotd

Also men still seem to be very solitary. (I guess because they spend a lot of time traveling between villages/families???) This has to be one of my least favorite bits of Viera lore, and I always choose to reject it.

So Shetona are likely more free to do what they wish, but there still seem to be certain expectations for men and women, particularly in family dynamics.

This to me is confirmation that Viera are in fact ambiguously sexed until puberty. This does not erase a trans reading though! What Erenville says could be interpreted as him having developed as female at 13 and later transitioning to male. This is the case with my Viera WoL.
"You were so beautiful, I mistook you for a girl!" "Well...technically speaking, you weren't wrong." It was not widely known that male and female Shetona were indistinguishable from one another until the age of thirteen. As they were long-lived and few in number, outsiders rarely chanced to encounter a Shetona adolescent.
