I have strong expectations about Wisconsin but very moderate hopes for the two Florida seats. Single digit losses would still be impressive

At minimum, Pete Hegseth, Tulsi Gabbard, and Mike Waltz should be fired. It's a bad idea to pick your cabinet by watching Fox News.

This whole Signal-gate story suggests we are "governed" by a bunch of amateurs, devoid of much intelligence.

I am still recovering from that shit show in the White House. We have learned who the leader of the free world is and his residence is not the White House.

PS Zelensky's support in Ukraine grew to 65%

I am glad Zelensky declined to sign a "deal" that Trump's officials put in front of him to make out with half of all Ukrainian mineral resources.

Every ICE field officer has a quota of 75 arrests of illegal immigrants a day. If they don't do it, their managers will be fired. I wonder how many LEGAL immigrants will get caught in the net to satisfy the quota?
Trump officials issue quotas to ICE officers to ramp up arrests
The administration wants to increase the number of arrests from a few hundred per day to at least 1,200 to 1,500, increasing the chances that non-criminals will be detained.

An end of an era, as far as I am concerned. One of the most important columnists, most consequential opinion leaders, a moral, political, and economic beacon, Paul Krugman (and a Nobel laureate, btw), has ended writing for the Times.

I am looking forward to his contributions in a different medium.
