The plan for Ozy is to increase the rate at which the stones fall onto the map. Darker stones cannot be moved without a powerup. Eventually Ozy may become trapped. The game ends when a stone falls on him.

Next task: rework the stone tiles.

My little sokoban #gameboy game is coming along. The main game loop is done. I'm now working on some of the #pixelart.

Asked my wife for titles and she came up with 石押す. I wanted the main character to have a name, so I took 押す and mutilated it into Ozy.

I've been trying to come up with a gameboy game idea that is small enough that I can actually finish it. This game is a sokoban game where sontes periodically fall onto the field. The character has to avoid being crushed while pushing the stones off the edge. #indiedev #gamedev #gameboy

Kaizen: A Factory Story is a fantastic game. It is really scratching an aesthetic itch since I've recently been obsessed with the #gameboy.

Here is a review I just wrote about Pentiment (a 3 year old game). Even though the game has been out for a long time. I just loved the experience so much I had to write something.

Part of me feels like I should fix my spaghetti code before starting to add features, but my kid really wants monsters in my #gameboy game. Meet Hanamon--the walking flower.

Remaking a game I made for a game jam many years ago, but this time I'm making it for the gameboy and writing it in assembly. It's taken a while, but I've got some basic physics and animation going.

My friend and I wrote this paper 2 years ago. After a few rejections and revisions, it has finally been published. #philosophy

There has been a sharp increase in the use of impossible worlds as theoretical tools for solving difficult philosophical problems. Some philosophers, however, warn against their use. For example, Timo...

I'm moving some of the articles I put on Medium years ago onto a #substack where I hope (time permitting) to write some more short public-facing philosophy articles.

Messing around with palette swapping in #pygame. Pygame doesn't seem to be happy with any depth less than 8bpp, unfortunately.

I've been studying gameboy color limitations in order to add some fun activities to my computer science class next school year.
