the president of our country is threatening another country with 50% tariffs if they do not immediately stop investigating a previous leader for corruption.
there is just so much wrong with that. I am sick to my stomach over the blatant corruption in our govt.

GOP senators refused to answer questions today in order to scrape together more time to come up with a word salad to use in response to the fact that the bombing of Iran's nuclear facilities effectively failed in every possible measure.

my thing is "the moment." where was Exactly the moment, the great depression started? The Civil War. the revolutionary war. because History has trouble identifying a specific point in time... the Shot heard round the world. Usually it's weeks/months/years of spread. I think the next one just hit.

the white house prides itself on it's chaotic behavior. never let them know what you're doing, how the story goes. Today the WH announced they'll give Russia 2 weeks before they decide Russia unserious about Peace in Ukraine. this is pretty obvious.

very quickly, the white house has pivoted from insisting that other countries are paying the tariffs, to the corporations are going to pay the tariffs. This is an admission that the tariffs are a tax.
