I just did my pre-op interview and that shit took way longer than "a few minutes" and they said that they will be calling the man I'm married to and make sure that I have a ride home and someone to take care of me for a week.

California just passed a law limiting HOA fines to $100 and protecting homeowners from predatory house stealing practices from HOAs.

Ftr, most of us have no choice but to buy homes with HOA and I think that most homeowners are perfectly willing to be reasonable about upkeep.

They went too far.

I just left a secondhand kitchen store and it was so depressing. Walls of nonstick cookware, Ninja appliances, and Keurig machines. Most of the floor space was dedicated to Boomer china sets and other huge place setting and entertaining pieces.

We have to do better as a society. Seriously.
