Bitcoin gives humanity a form of money that no government or institution can debase, seize, or censor.

It protects the fundamental human rights of economic sovereignty and freedom to transact

It will benefit 5.7 billion people (72% of the world) who live under authoritarianism

It's already begun.
I’m glad to see the protests went off yesterday with no violence. Thats how America is supposed to work. Protest all you want folks, but do it peacefully. It’s the American way.

Blocking people because they said something about bitcoin that you don’t agree with is the surest way to stay ignorant.

Some people aggressively run from the truth, preferring comfort instead. It’s insane.

Looks like some people are finally letting go of the “bitcoin has no value“ trope. It’s about time.

Now they’re stuck in the “bitcoin is only good for [insert paranoid bad thing]” trope.

In time the’ll realize that’s false as well.

For those not trolling and genuinely curious which crypto to buy now, the answer is none of them. Keep your money. Education is the best investment you can possibly make.

I'm back.

I was troubled by Charlie Kirk's assassination and liked the idea of open dialog between people of different views, which he championed.

I underestimated how much vitriol his name inspired. I don't defend Charlie and that was never my intention.

So Dad's Advice is back.

The levels of ignorance and distrust about bitcoin on this site are really remarkable. It's not hurting bitcoin, but it's certainly hurting that segment of liberals that feel this way.

All we can do is keep trying to educate and explain.
BTC = Bitcoin = Trump
Breaking: Oklahoma State Superintendent Ryan Walters has resigned after porn allegations.

Walters is the guy who directed public schools to incorporate the Christian Bible and Ten Commandments into instruction, which triggered lawsuits over church–state separation.

Good thread 👇👇👇
The middle class and the poor keep getting further behind because they live their lives in dollars, or euros etc… the amount of that money is expanding at faster and faster rates so prices rise, far faster than their wages. What used to be a comfortable salary now feels like it barely gets you by.

The Tylenol announcement is a litmus test.

Reality: a cautious, incremental label change that brings the U.S. a bit closer to Europe’s more precautionary stance.

Politics: loud, polarized reactions on both sides.

If you're outraged, and can’t separate reality from politics, you failed the test.

Another criminal finds out the hard way that bitcoin isn’t good for crime. He should have used US dollars. Thats the one that’s good for crime.

Scattered Spider Teen Arrested After Using Extorted Bitcoin for Personal Purchases
A teenager associated with the cybercriminal group Scattered Spider was arrested in September 2025 after using bitcoins obtained through extortion to purchase games and meals. This incident highlights the vulnerabilities in cybercriminal operations, particularly the traceability of cryptocurrency transactions. Scattered Spider is known for its involvement in ransomware attacks and other malicious activities, often demanding ransom payments in cryptocurrency. The arrest underscores the importance of financial forensics in cybercrime investigations. Law enforcement agencies can trace Bitcoin transactions through the blockchain, especially when funds are converted into fiat currency or used for purchases. This case serves as a reminder to cybercriminals that their activities can be traced, and they can be caught. For cybersecurity professionals, it emphasizes the need for robust financial monitoring systems and strong cybersecurity measures to prevent ransomware attacks. Collaboration between cybersecurity experts and law enforcement is crucial for tracking and apprehending cybercriminals. Additionally, this case highlights the importance of educating young individuals about the legal consequences of cybercrime. The key takeaways for cybersecurity professionals include monitoring blockchain transactions for suspicious activity, implementing strong cybersecurity measures, collaborating with law enforcement, and educating young individuals about the legal consequences of cybercrime.

A common misconception among people that don’t understand bitcoin is that people buy it, hoping to sell later for more dollars. After all, that’s what THEY (as people that don’t understand bitcoin) would do.

In reality, most people who DO understand bitcoin never plan to sell for dollars, period.
I am one of those ordinary pisspot people with Satoshis and use dollar cost average approach.
Never sell, I treat it as if it doesn't exist.

There’s a myth that still lives on BlueSky, that bitcoin is only good for crime. In fact the opposite is true, the only thing bitcoin ISN‘T good for is crime. Asking for a bribe in bitcoin is like saying, “give me a suitcase full of money, but also put a permanent GPS tracker in it!”

That's dramatic. I was curious and chatted with ChatGPT. From my chat:

- It's real, not seasonality
- Mostly (60%) due to policy/incentive changes in France and Germany
- Partly (30%) due to competition (BYD, MG, VW, Stellantis)
- Other factors (10%) eg delivery lumpiness, brand sentiment/politics

What you hold is the key to unlock your Bitcoin, not the coin itself.

Understanding how wallets and private keys work is the first step toward true financial empowerment.

Learn how Bitcoin really works.

Your future deserves clarity, not confusion.

Many people don't understand that Satoshi wrote a protocol that no one, no corporation, no government, no person or group of people, NOT EVEN HIMSELF (themselves) can control.

It belongs to the human race. It just "is". It can't be stopped. Humans are adopting it. There's no one "behind" it.
May 14, 2025 at 9:32 PM
You guys don't seem to get it.

Demanding a bribe in bitcoin is like saying: "Give me a suitcase of unmarked $100 bills - and make sure you put a GPS tracker in it!"
May 14, 2025 at 7:13 PM
It's true.

I've become intolerant of fucking idiots that still think bitcoin is a "scam", or "tulips", or that some shitcoin is "a bitcoin", or any of the other absolute IDIOCY that passes for bitcoin knowledge on this site.

It's 2025. It's no longer excusable to be this ignorant about bitcoin.

Consider BluSky block as a tool for reinforcing your myopic views.

Want to learn something? Don't.
A different point of view? Avoid.
Someone likes something that you don't? Label.
Receive the world with empathy? Never.
Have no answer to someone's argument? Denigrate.
Open your mind? lol, No.
May 13, 2025 at 2:37 PM
Bitcoin is here to stay. That argument is over.

The only question remaining is, when are you going to finally take the time to learn about it?

Is there anyone on this site who can tell me the difference between bitcoin and Trump's meme coin?

I love how they block you here on BlueSky when you have the audacity to suggest actually learning something.

For the record, this doesn’t happen on X lol.
April 28, 2025 at 1:21 AM
As bad as the bitcoin ignorance is on this site, the bitcoin scam shit is worse.

I scroll past it because it’s so obviously a scam to me but it just struck me - if I was as ignorant as the average BlueSky user seems to be about bitcoin I might actually fall for this shit.

Be careful out there kids

Get used to watching bitcoin go up.

It’s going to go up for the rest of your life, or until governments stop printing money, whichever comes first.

(Hint: it won’t be the second one)
