📍 Court President, Mattias Guyomar, concluded today a series of high-level bilateral meetings in Warsaw.

Accompanied by the Registrar, Marialena Tsirli, he met with Poland’s Prime Minister, Donald Tusk, to discuss the rule of law and the role of the judiciary in a democracy.

The Court President spoke today in Warsaw at a conference marking the Convention's 75th anniversary.

Elaborating on why the Convention was conceived, he stressed its continued relevance, noting that the threats its drafters sought to guard against are re-emerging in new forms.
