I switched to Linux ~7 years ago and haven't missed Windows a second. I only switched to macOS ~4 years ago because of personal preference with web dev but it's still unix.

Next-auth wasn't for me as I needed email password auth and it was an atrocity to implement there. I ended up writing my own authentication logic using jwts and following best practices. I wouldn't recommend this to everyone as security may be at risk if you are not careful.
