Unfortunately, Soso realized how dark the outside world could be. From the nasty looks he'd receive, seemingly because of his eyes, to having his kindness taken advantage of, Soso's heart began to put up walls at every opportunity. (1/3)

After mastering his new eyesight, Soso picked up his first sword at age 12. He was determined to assist in the defense of his home from any more raids from the Amalj'aa. His father would aid in his training as he is a former member of the Gladiator's Guild. (1/2)

The source of Soso's trauma stems from his first encounter with Ifrit. Not only was his childhood friend sacrificed to Ifrit, his vision was also gone. The only reason he is still alive was his plea to Azeyma. Through her, he was granted an immunity to fire, but took increased damage from ice. (1/3)
