My non-MAGA-but-voted-for-him spouse is disgusted. It will take a different event or issue for each person. For mine it was Ukraine. We can actually bond over some politics for the first time in 52 years! Still disagree about many things, but our revulsion has created a special bond. 😉

My daughter and her family live in Switzerland. Her thoughts? She’s gone from “maybe someday I’ll try to go back” to “why would I ever go back?” We are fortunate to spend 6 months/year there. Other 6 months in SF Bay Area. At least I can be proud to be a Californian.

Eliminate the “Golden Visa.” Foreign buyers have been gobbling up CA property for years - driving the prices up. It only takes a $500k home purchase anywhere in US and boom - you get residency. Foreign buyers can afford the outrageous prices now but our kids can’t.
