Interested in transport and current affairs. I benchmark metro systems from around the world for a living.
That's a huge fall in student visa applications. Will this be the first cohort who would get an 18 month graduate visa rather than 2 years?

On housing. Does the 50% affordable social housing apply to just new developments that Newham Council build themselves or also ones private developers undertake? If it's the latter then surely developers will just go elsewhere to build e.g. in other London boroughs?

Not a fan of his politics by any stretch of the imagination. But I do wonder if Nick Buckley could really pull the Reform vote share down and help the Greens.

I'm at that threshold too. It's less than 49p per £1 I keep over £50,000 once taking account of my employee pension contributions.

Thank you for raising this. Your office is dealing with a query from myself regarding Thames Water. Any new regulator really needs to clamp down on poor customer service. I've spent over 15 hours dealing with Thames Water issues since August. 348 WhatsApp messages and 22 calls/emails/letters to them

I agree. Many flats in my area are relatively new and are sitting on the market for ages. They are nice flats, but not worth 400-500k. One flat in our block is on the market for 75,000 less than it was initally bought for in 2021

There are flats where I live in East London going for less than they did 7/8 years ago. Just not worth buying something with a 4k a year service charge

Yep that's correct, already lost interest in voting for them. Oddly there seems to be a Tory push in Canning Town. Already received a leaflet through the door and they are quite active on social media. Not that I would vote for them either.

Check out the new step-free entrance at Knightsbridge Station, a much more classic feel to the design there

Just happened to come across this. Can't believe Canning Town was like that once, how times change. I moved here earlier this year and it feels like one of the safest places I've ever lived!
