Interesting. For comparison my Zehnder Q350 is giving external -2.5, incoming 17, extract 20.5, exhaust 4.5 C which I think implies efficiency of 82%. This is with an enthalpy exchanger as the standard heat exchanger made the air too dry in winter.

There are several designers, eg 21 degrees; and one with a name like heatspaceandlight.com.
Installers are trickier to find, depends where you are. SA Technical Services in Horsham might do it.

You are right it does cycle. I suspect some manufacturers have a way of “slugging” the ASHP so it behaves like a smaller unit including having a lower minimum output and it would be good to know if this is true of the Samsung 8kW.

They should pray for the Chancellor to see the light and remove green levies from the electricity tariff.
