The surviving descendant of two Ukrainian families murdered by Nazis.
Volodymyr Zelensky. Today, he leads his outmanned, outgunned, ferociously defiant nation against the onslaught of Russia. Zelensky, the survivor of survivors, summons the resilience of his ancestors. He does not bend.

I Guess Trump Will burn Books next…
There's a common path in the development of authoritarian or totalitarian regimes, regardless of whether they are overseen by Catholic Inquisitors, Protestant enforcers, monarchists, fascists, Nazis, Stalinists, Maoists ....
First they eliminate words.
Then they eliminate people.

So true - we can collectively change the future with all of our actions today - don’t ever give up 🦖🌿🦘
I can’t remember where I read this, but it’s important:

Why is it that when people think about traveling to the past, they worry about doing something small that will drastically change the present, but no one in the present thinks that doing something small today can drastically change the future?

I rarely eat red meat but when I do it’s kangaroo. Finger lime satay 🌿😋🌶️ As with many native food industries Australia needs to increase the acknowledgement and involvement of Traditional Owners in the industry. #TONFABS A great article www.sustainabletable.org.au/journal/kang...

Every night I tell an impromptu story to my kids. Tonight was about a wolf family looking for the moon, rain clouds obscured their view so they worked with different animals with different skills to find a solution. I’m not a writer but I love storytelling.

It's worth pointing this out because this is summer in Australia i.e. fire season. Historically the us, Australia and iirc Canada have shared resources and personnel which you know we're not in a great position to do right now since California is taking in firefighters from other states
During our Black Summer, more than 1,000 people came from North America to assist in firefighting efforts.

The overlap in fire seasons in both hemispheres has huge implications for how we fight fire.

Australia needs its own fleet of Large Air Tankers (LATs).

Fire seasons around the world are starting to overlap. This may leave Australia on its own
Experts say Australia can no longer rely on northern hemisphere nations for water-bombing aircraft and firefighters during our summer.

The transformation of architecture, construction, industry is about 100% avoidance of emissions. Meanwhile more than that: Regenerative, i.e. below 0, with benefits for biodiversity etc.
