One forever chemical at a time.

Nice work team!
The EPA has approved two new pesticides with "forever chemicals" that will be used on food.

The agency has also announced plans for four additional approvals.

The approved pesticides will be used on vegetables such as romaine lettuce, broccoli and potatoes.

This photo is absolutely going to replace the image of my children as my background photo on my laptop.

What a gem! This says so much about the state of politics today.

Hint: it’s all a bloody scam!

Wait, pump the brakes.

First, Trump taxes his own people, to then offer $2k to every middle class and low income American.

Now, he’s openly praising a democratic socialist.

My poor MAGA family members must be in a cognitive dissonance tailspin!!! 😂
Donald Trump and Zohran Mamdani forged an unlikely friendship at the White House on Friday, with the US president saying at one point, 'I would feel very, very comfortable being in New York' under Mamdani. on.ft.com/43MAcy5

Wait, I'm not the smartest person in the world, but isn't this socialism? At the very least, it's a leftist idea of wealth re-distribution.

Why is it not ok for Mamdani to offer free buses in NYC, but Trump can do this?

These people make up their own rules!!! 🤷🏽

Yes! More of this please. Banks and private equity groups should own all of our housing.

What could go wrong? 🤦🏽‍♀️

Sometimes the answer is hard. Sometimes It’s easy. The answer to our housing crisis is easy. Build more homes. And stop allowing this! 👇
November 9, 2025 at 7:29 AM
Correct!

We’ve seen what happens to empires when greed and hedonism win out. They crumble under the weight of the egos that rule.

History will repeat itself. This time is not different.
Tesla have approved a $1 trillion pay package for Elon Musk. That's 20 billion times more than a nurse in the UK earns.

Don't let anyone tell you immigrants or disabled people are the problem. It's the richest 1% hoarding all the wealth.

Time to tax the super-rich properly.

And still, the FF industry gets billions in subsidies.

When people on the right ask me what my solutions are, I always tell them, start with removing FF subsidies and move those subsidies over into renewables. If you don’t like renewables, fine… move the money into regen ag., or silvopasture, etc.

I remember sending the NASA website on climate change to some of my climate denier friends/family. Their argument was, “the Globalists control NASA”. 🤦🏽‍♀️

Sadly, NASA’s response to Kim won’t matter. Truth, is now, what you subjectively believe. Not what is objectively seen and known.

For an administration that is violently anti-socialist/communist, the Trump administration sure likes to get involved in US business.

They are pumping $80 billion into Westinghouse, for nuke reactors. The deal involves taking a portion of any profits above a certain amount. Hmm… reminds me of 🇨🇳 🤫
The Trump administration will take a stake in at least $80 billion of new nuclear reactors that it sees as key to continuing to develop AI technologies through a deal it inked with the parent companies of nuclear developer Westinghouse.
U.S. inks $80 billion deal with Westinghouse for nuclear reactors
The partnership would be funded with help from Japan and gives U.S. taxpayers an ownership stake in the plants.

Weird to hear Steve Bannon talking about the need to help the “little guy”. How capitalism is dead and has been replaced by corporatism. And how we need a revolution.

He’s speaking like a Marxist for the first few minutes. Then it all goes downhill. 🤦🏽‍♀️

I’m currently on a road trip in the USA. Going from Kentucky to Wyoming and back.

It’s been a long time since I did a long road trip in my home country. It’s not changed a bit. It’s just as confusing as it’s ever been. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Absolutely!

The most effective thing we can do, if we want real, systemic change, is to withdraw funds from the billionaires and move that money elsewhere.

Try: absolutely nothing, and then go support indie bookstores instead 📚

I have tried to explain this to so many of my friends and family, who oppose renewables and yet, complain about the cost of electricity in the UK.

But, as I have learned from Iain McGilchrist, human bias is the main driving factor in decision making. Once a bias is set in, it is hard to remove it.
Blustery day, isn't it? Here's the National Grid: Live generation data. Wind and solar are generating 74.2% of our electricity. Gas is generating 13.1%. And yet our household electricity prices are pegged to... the volatile price of gas. Which is the basis on which the right attacks... renewables.

I won't be popular for agreeing with this article. But I do. I am witnessing a rise in populist, utopian rhetoric by the left. And I am seeing a trend, that if someone on the left, like me, doesn't agree with a tactic, we are shamed.

Being at the top of the moral pyramid won't fix our issues.

Excellent!

There are few things we can do to make real change. But this is one.

I‘ve used Co-Op and Nationwide for years and I’ve been happy with both.
💷 UK banks have poured £75 billion into giant fossil fuel projects since 2016.

Which banks are dirty? Barclays, HSBC, Lloyds, NatWest, Halifax, RBS, Santander, TSB.

Which are ethical? Co-op, Nationwide, Triodos, Virgin Money. #SwitchToEthical

Starmer went to Oxford. Sunak went to Oxford.

As did: Truss, Johnson, May and Cameron.

In the US, most of our Presidents attend Ivy League schools. In the UK, it is Oxford and/or Eton.

It's no surprise that Labour looks like the Conservatives and the Dems look like the Republicans.
People want lower rents. They want cheaper bills and publicly-owned services. They want an NHS that works.

Why can’t this government just do things that would actually improve people’s lives?

We can fix this country. We just need the political will.

Growing up in California, I am used to returning my cans and bottles to get the deposit back. And I am very happy to see this being rolled out in the UK.

Bailing out farmers with tariffs. This is too much. Capitalist "solutions" are wild.

How about they stop the oligopoly of seed companies controlling ag. in America?

Stop subsidising fossil fuels and subsidise fruit, veg. organic and regen ag. instead.

Madness!
