I remember Maoists in the 90s who adopted a similar vulgar Dworkinist argument against sex but specifically avoided that by arguing that non-hetero couples would have other sorts of unequal power under capitalism that would render consent impossible. Obviously this position made them wildly popular.

Ohio is good on abortion rights now (no thanks to the legislature). But LGBTQ rights are under relentless attack, along with anything labeled ‘DEI’ at least at public institutions.
