Somebody should write a book where they get the oral history of everyone who was in the London Symphony Orchestra in March 1977 to record the music for Star Wars. Probably there aren't many left. But I'd love to hear from someone who sat down to play that music for the first time.

BlueSky is full of people taking it as settled fact that the shooter shot Kirk from the right. What is this based on? His family background doesn’t seem to prove the case. I’m worried this is becoming a narrative we find convenient so we unquestioningly embrace it.

plenty of things going against the right globally: Bolsonaro's conviction in Brazil, the defeat of the right wing in Norway's election, the student strikes and Saba Saba protests in Kenya (brutal as the repression there was), the EU's von der Leyen pursuing sanctions and trade suspension for Israel
