Melania and Barron Trump have dual citizenship (US and Slovenia). Elon Musk has citizenship in the US, South Africa, and Canada.
Karoline Leavitt: “You’re either a U.S. citizen or not — You can’t be a U.S. citizen & a citizen of another country”

The Supreme Court thought differently as it ruled in 1967 that the government can’t strip U.S. citizenship unless a person voluntarily relinquishes it - not that they care

If she does quit, she can invest more time in her South Carolina gubernatorial primary bid.

They might allow him some wiggle room (citing other laws) ... and even then, he'd still impose them somehow.

In the past, Fox has been lampooned for hosting a "holiday party" for its NYC staff.

Is there a date (per South Carolina election laws) where she has to decide whether to seek re-election to her House seat ... or to go all-in for the GOP gubernatorial primary?

Ana Marie, I do not think of the Pilgrims, et al.

A day of Thanksgiving (drafted by Samuel Adams)
was declared after the Battle of Saratoga, by GW after the passage of the constitution and made permanent by Lincoln as a day of unity in the Civil War.

To me, no need to celebrate oppression.

Chris, when you spoke of an alternate history (had Krasnov been successful in Hollywood):

Had Roger Ailes had continuing success in producing off-Broadway plays (instead of his one 1973 quirky hit "Hot L Baltimore") ... perhaps the FNC might not have come-to-pass in the way that it did.

A great sentiment (in general) and for the times we live in (in particular).

Alas, whenever I see those two words .... my brain latches-on to the first-rule quote.

He and Tish James will still have a nice Thanksgiving dinner.

And yes, the vindictive prosecution dismissal will be an even greater feast.

Yes, the "spheres of influence" as per the German-Soviet pact of 1939.

Canada? Gotta be the 51st state (North American sphere)

Greenland? Don't rule out an invasion (North American sphere)

Ukraine? That's in Russia's sphere.

Gaza? Not in our sphere, but did somebody say ... hotels?

The boxing press (during the very long reign of heavyweight champ Joe Louis) would dismiss his overmatched challengers as "The Bum of the Month Club".

Seems as if that could be revived for Krasnov attorneys.

For Patrick Fitzgerald ... this is one hell of a Thanksgiving present!

Vindictive prosecution would have been juicier .... but ya take what ya can get.

I have pleaded - incessantly - to many with accounts there (sports/music primarily) to start a Bluesky account.

Some will not. Others will set one up ... then post there every 2 months.

I have disconnected from all political content there - and don't engage - yet still need more than what's here.
November 24, 2025 at 4:19 AM
I still pop over there to read a few posters - mainly sports and music - whom, no matter how hard I try to convince them: will not set-up a Bluesky account.

I don't engage, and have removed most all of my "Following" accounts if political.

Some day that will go away.

When I visited Memphis years ago: my brother and cousin told me I was nuts for not wanting to visit Graceland.

I got all the Elvis I needed by visiting the Sun Records studio museum. It explains his importance in the rise of our music ... no need to see the excesses.

Interesting ...... it's not often one reads the word "surmountable" ... without an in- prefix.
