When Tricky’s ‘Maxinquaye’ hit in 1995 it was rightly a monster 👹 and one of the loveliest things about it was the inclusion of Martina Topley-Bird. In 2003 she finally released her cd album ‘Quixotic’ which was belatedly labeled trip-hop, which it never was, anyway it didn’t do anything 1/2

The Cars was £15, the other 4 were all £3 each. The Xmal is in very nice condition but had a little scuff (tiny) which is inaudible. This dealer told me he has a lot of Ace and Kent albums he hasn’t sorted and they will all be £3 so I am going over there at some point to run thru them

Continuing the ‘loud’ theme with my favourite Purple album. This was the album that blooded me into Deep Purple and I find the lyrics to be more ‘mature’ than Gillan’s and I like the more ‘bar room’ feel of MK3…Glenn is sublime on this #np #NowPlaying #NowSpinning #DeepPurple #vinyl #MusicSky
