Holy crap... Matt commissioned a physical LP of the soundtrack that I composed this year for Piece By Piece 😭 He collaborated with the studio in secret to get the artwork and everything!! Best Christmas present ever 😭

The Game UI Database is FIVE today! They grow up so fast.

Besides the obvious reasons for disliking Gen AI, here’s a personal one: I’m scared it’s going to ruin my enjoyment of Game UI.
Art used to inspire me - now my first thought is to question whether it’s real or not. If that ever happens with Game UI, it would break my heart.

Call of Duty Black Ops 7 has been added to the Game UI Database!... but with no UI. Instead, the page redirects to an article about the game's use of AI-generated icons and banners.

By the way! Just incase you haven't noticed, the Game UI Database has been busier than ever lately. I'm now updating it every Sunday-Friday for the forseeable future, with Game UI references from both classic games and brand new releases!

I rarely post early versions of games to the Game UI Database, but from the moment I saw the UI for Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls, I knew I had to break the rules.

I can't believe I only just noticed this, but the Teal & Pink colour scheme seen throughout Donkey Kong Bananza's UI is actually a reference to the colour palette of the first level from the original Donkey Kong!!

The Game UI Database Summer Update is STACKED with new features. Ever needed to grab placeholder text from an image? Now you can simply drag to select text from any image on the database, and copy it straight into your clipboard. You can even send it to Google Translate!

I'm pleased to announce that the Game UI Database Summer Update will launch next week!!
This will come with a ton of much-requested QOL fixes, and new features such as a revamped Colour Filter tool with the ability to filter by harmonies, as well as wider searches for warm and cool hues.
