I wasn’t happy my daughter chose UChicago.

I believed everything I read & heard about Chicago being an unsafe war zone & my kidlet wanted to attend a university on the Southside ~ yikes!

But when we toured, then moved her in, we discovered Chicago’s wonder. It’s a BEAUTIFUL city ~ America’s best.❤️

I was in Chicago a year ago, a city full of joy, friendship, & community! ✨

The only hiccup was a delegate bus blockade by *checks notes* MAGA protesters. IYKYK.
We had to walk blocks to the United Center. Even so, it was peaceful.

Chicago is GORGEOUS - we can’t wait to go back! 💙

Six of nine Nobel Laureates so far this year have been American based, half of whom immigrated to the US. Four have ties to University of California.

Prof Yaghi was born in Jordan to Palestinian refugee parents who could barely read and write. He immigrated to the US as a 15 year old.
