GlenDronach Port wood 46%.
You can definitely find the scent of port. Some hint of ginger, too.
It has a lovely smooth flavour, fruit and slightly nutty. The flavour also stays nice and long. After a trickle of water, the taste is a bit flat. But the after taste a bit fruitier.

Bruichladdich the organic 2011. 50% alc.
A nice soft fragrance. Very fine. The flavour nicely balanced, not at all sharp and lingers for a long time. I really like this one

Penderyn madeira finish 46%. The smell quite soft and a distinct smell not easy to put into words. The flavour vanilla with a little pepper. I would not score this one very high however it is a legacy from my grandmother and therefore fantastic.

Frysk Hynder red wine cask 40%.
A Dutch whisky with a beautiful horse on top of the bottle. In the aroma, the red wine comes out nicely. The flavour is smooth but a bit flat. And I'm missing about 6% alcohol. I think it will come into its own much better then.

The Yamazaki Distiller's reserve 43%.
A very nice subtle scent of vanilla.
the taste is lying sharp and rolls nicely through the mouth. This bottle is a bit more expensive than what I normally buy but it is well worth it.

Glen Allachie 12 year 46%. First of all, what a beautiful colour he has. And no it is not coloured. The aroma is soft with notes of sultanas. In the flavour, these are also reflected. A fine whisky but not a stunner.

Bowmore 12-year-old at 40%.
Even though colour doesn't say much ( because a lot of whisky is coloured.) this one has a really nice colour. Smell is what you expect. Nicely smoky with fresh notes. No sharpness in the flavour. Besides the smoke which is nicely light, the lime and citrus come out.

Paul John Christmas edition 2020 at 46%
A fine brand from India.
This one has been partly aged in oloroso casks and you can smell and taste that.
In the flavour, you can find a bit of peat. However, not at all in the aroma.
A nice whisky if you don't like the peat yet, but are curious about it.

Waterproof scotch whisky. 45,8%
In terms of aroma, a light sherry and wood.
On tasting, a sharp edge first emerges for me. But this quickly switches to vanilla and sherry notes.
A tasty whisky with one small downside: the flavour is gone rather quickly.

Glenfiddich Orchard experiment #05.
Finished in Somerset pomona casks. From 43%.
On the nose of Lemon, citrus, apple and pear.
And a nice bright colour.
Things come back from the aroma in the flavour too. Nice smooth flavour with a very slight pepper. This whisky drinks away nicely.

Balcones Texas RYE 100 proof of 50%
Like a bourbon, this RYE is a bit different from the "standard" whisky. A lot sweeter
This how not to be something bad.
A nice sweet taste of apple and vanilla.

Dimple golden selection 40% Scotch whisky.
To begin with, a pretty special bottle.
In the nose quite smooth with notes of fruit.
Not much flavour at first. But after a little waltzing in your mouth, the flavours are released. But remains very mellow.
For a newbie whisky lover, a nice bottle.

Laphroaig 10 years batch 15 at 56.5%
This one comes from islay Scotland so either way it has smoke flavour and aroma. And it certainly has that. But most smoky whisky is quite sharp in taste. This one doesn't. This one is wonderfully soft but full in smoke. Top notch.

Tomatin 18 year oloroso sherry casks at 46%.
Wow a lovely sherry aroma. In terms of flavour, a nice smooth complete taste. The sherry comes out very nicely. This one is fantastic.

The Ultimate "Glen Spay 2011"
Of 58.4% alcohol cask strength.
Is quite different from the previous endradour. In the nose quite flat with fruit notes. Nothing wrong with it if you ask me.
The flavour is anything but flat. A lovely full flavour of different fruits with a little pepper.

The Ultimate "Edradour 2011" at 57.1%.
This one spent 9 years in a 1st fill sherry cask. And you can smell and taste it. It is deep red in colour. I have never had more sherry flavour in a whisky.
The flavour also lingers nicely for a long time.
Conclusion 9.5/10

This Irish Grace O'malley "stout cask finish" of 40%.
In the nose, a less-than-fine medicinal iodine smell.
This is thankfully not reflected in the flavour.
It is mild in flavour but a bit musty.
Conclusion 5/10

This 1770 “2019 release”from the
Glasgow distillery is a nice entry-level whisky.
Soft in taste and not sharp on the palate. The fragrance is not very present.
Conclusion : 7/10
