Words and rhetoric that lead to peace, calm and de-escalation matter. This no longer seems to exist in our government. Permission continues to be granted to the scoffers than to the peacemakers. Lord have mercy.

Dear STARBUCKS - please please please fix your system in ordering black drip coffee. 90% of the time, I have to remind the barista that my coffee is ready. It’s often an unnecessary ten minute wait and longer than one of the espresso based drinks.

There is a corner of the internet where many Christians are mocking and arguing against the virtue of empathy. It seems that some people believe that being people of grace, kindness and understanding, is not how we bring good news to our world.

Spent the weekend worshipping with nearly 350 students from Utah and Idaho. I have so much joy and hope for this generation that will call us to follow Jesus as King.

I once called into a Christian radio station to push back on their idolatry of the country of Israel. He went back and forth with me. Finally I asked: “Name one criticism of Israel.” And the Christian host without hesitation said, “Israel doesn’t pound the Palestinians hard enough.”

Fox News is now calling DoD, as Department of War. Legally, only Congress can change the name. So Fox News is being name hospitable by calling a department by her preferred name.

I love my work ministering on college campuses. I’m regularly inspired by the students who are bold in their faith and are practicing love of God and neighbor. Those are the witnesses who inspire and challenge me.

I grieve at how many Evangelicals were radicalized this morning at church… not for Jesus and love for God and neighbor, but toward a worldview and around CK.

Two Jehovah Witnesses came to my home to invite me to a Bible Study. They believe we study the same Bible (we don’t) and they would not confess that Jesus is God.
To equip the church is to sharpen our understanding of the creeds we believe and the authenticity of the Scriptures.
