I help port awesome adventure games to the Mac. I also develop games for the Playdate.

No built-in dithering capability in #Godot, but many dithering shaders are available. However, we decided to implement our code-based ditherer with #GDScript. After we find time to implement a UI and sample app for it, we will release it as FOSS on #Github (soon).

That’s quite an impressive list of dithering options! The only one I haven’t heard of is Pigeon, I’ll need to look that one up.

Do you know if Godot uses a specific dithering algorithm?

I could see this game on other consoles. I just completed DDD a few minutes ago and loved it. Once I got into the flow, it became very addictive. A great addition to Season 2. The 1-bit graphics, especially for the artifacts looked amazing.

This is awesome. I love to see what technical wizardry Playdate developers have managed.

Not going to say “no one”, but how about Colossal Cave 3D, the reimagining of the classic adventure, by a fantastic team led by Ken and Roberta Williams.

Awesome! Welcome to the beautiful world of Playdate development! I haven't tried Pulp yet, but I plan on using it for a future project or few.
