The Guardians who chased the Witness through the monolith, knowing that if they failed, the universe had only minutes before it enacted the Final Shape. 3 days for contest raid prep was difficult, but it was immersive. It drove the feeling of the Guardian's desperation.

Root of Nightmares was my first time clearing anything on contest mode. And, yes, I know it's statistically the easiest raid, with the highest rate of contest clears, but we're all beginners at some point. We have to start somewhere!

I love Desert Perpetual- the mechanics, the story, and especially all the references to real-world theoretical physics. I'm not sure if that is your doing, but if so, I want you to know I'm writing a paper about it so raiders without physics knowledge can appreciate it as much as I do!

Makes me think of a fanfiction I wrote, that takes place at Golden-Age Braytech. One of the researchers says "good morning," and another replies, "there's nothing good about mornings, especially on Europa where it's *always* cold and dark"

Tear gas is not an acid and cannot be neutralized with a base. Baking soda isn't basic enough to be caustic, but in the eyes, can mechanically scratch the surfaces of the corneas. You also shouldn't try to neutralize actual acid exposure.

Tear gas isn't an acid.

Furthermore, if you spill actual acid on your skin, you don't neutralize it. You dilute it with water.

Why? Neutralization reactions release heat, and you'd end up with thermal burns in addition to chemical burns.
