Since putting my horse down in May I’ve spent a lot of time looking at the many photos/videos I took of him during our 18 years together. I can see just how tired he was towards the end, and how uncomfortable. He told me he was ready, and I listened. Two days later I let him go. 🌻

There was a Rothko retrospective at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis in the late 70s. Went to see it with my boyfriend. It was set up in a kind of spiral/maze display. started out feeling happy, but by the time we got to the last few paintings , we’d broken up. Very dark.

Class of 77 — harassed by a section leader of Michael Walzer’s class. I was the only woman in the section. I declined to have sex with him. A few days later saw that my final exam grade was lowered (higher grade crossed out on the exam book). I still remember his name…
