Illinois native plant enthusiast, potter, birder, cat rescuer to bring them indoors, trying to get better at fish and new visual arts.
Love it.

On bad days, I can be found muttering, "This is way the world ends, this is the way the world ends, this is the way the world ends..."

We had a pass around copy with an empty pack of camels stacked to the back. I loved reading it and getting weird looks on the el.

OMG. Occurence at Owl creek Bridge. One of my most formative stories from 7th grade. I still talk about it and too few people know about it.

I am currently fostering 4 kittens and their mom. It's a lot of work, but at the end of the day, I have kitten time.

Thank you for adopting a rescue (my heart beats faster just thinking about a rescue corgi).

If you are talking about Jackson-Pulaski, it is so much fun to watch them arrive, then gather and dance.

I use my home office as a foster iso space which is totally crazy because I work from home. Today I was trying to set up a new work laptop (a pain) and all the kittens plus mama had to smell it and inspect it. Eventually they tired of it

Great photo. There is a place I bird where you really can't wander in due to swampiness and poison ivy. It's a remote parking lot, wooded on three sides. I would drive and park there this summer and had a pair of titmice visit me almost every time. I think they liked my red car.

I never get tired of those sweet things.

More milkweed, more coneflowers, but I am really excited about growing Illinois bundleflower. Sucje a sweet plant that has such great autumn interest.

I gathered seeds and read about protected winter sowing.

I love when these come out. Short stories are such a divine format.

When he introduced me to some work friends of his, he said, "This one is my Ansel Adams."

It was just a fantastic shock that he appreciated my photos (I am a hobbysit) and thought to use it as a primary descriptor. I was delighted.

This one was particularly silly and kept building webs across paths people walk. So I had to relocate her to the back yard.

My neighbor came home last night when I was reaching out and saying "Come here, sweetie, you need to move." Neighbor asked, "Did one of the (foster) kittens get out?" Nope, just relocating a spider." "Ok, Have a good evening."

My neighbor gets me.

Thanks for discussing their feet. They always look like they must have amazing balance.

Love these...the color and design.

That's wonderful. I was just thinking how I could replicate the coloration in glazing pots.
