I am crippled with envy at Irish statehood and its emergence as an economic success story, with a government eager to spunk money and tax breaks on rugby union.

We could and should have the same thing in Cymru, if only we had the vision, guts and self-esteem to make it a reality.

The reality is that the WRU has no legitimacy in dictating where its test players can and cannot play, when, at the time of writing, it does not even know how many pro teams it will have next season.

A Reddit r/rugby post saying: Connacht v Scarlets off.

The Scarlets team have been on a flight that was bound for Dublin since 13:30. Two failed landing attempts at Dublin due to storm Amy. Diverted to Manchester. Landed. After refuelling there was a medical emergency. Following that the crew hit their hour limit. So a new crew was sourced. Just as things were looking up a passenger tried to exit the flight by opening the back door. The police were called. The passenger has now been removed with their cohort. . . Now the Scarlets are requesting to leave the flight as "their game is off." Fair point, they can't be expected to play after being on a plane for 8 hours now. Issue is they have a lot of baggage. Anyway. Wait for confirmation from the league but that's the state of play on the ground. Source: Me, I'm on the flight."

Hmm, ok. I'll still keep my point about Sarries. Plenty of bought talent to win those cups. For me, despite the heartbreaking finals Leinster for me have been the most consistent. 5 finals in 8 years, knocking out Sarries and Toulouse along the way. Maybe I'm just trying to cope too hard 😂
