Wind power at 15% of its rated capacity, coal by comparison is at 100% of its capacity at 289 MW..even if we build 5x more wind, on calm cold days like this, when power needed the most, we will get 15% of of Max Capacity...

Ugly morning..looks like Canada is curtailing exports, coal power for our EVs.. lots of high CO2 oil for our heatpumps..wind providing about 2% of power, hopefully the snow is off solar panels for pm peak
January 21, 2025 at 12:04 PM
NE with most expensive power in nation...and adding more electric load with incentives to insure #1 spot for years to come....
January 20, 2025 at 2:12 PM
Wtf 32% imports neg price...???
January 19, 2025 at 2:28 PM
Another poor wind day on a cold morning as power costs roar past $250.00 MW as NE continues to be highest cost power in nation...a regressive tax on the poor and middleclass...
January 17, 2025 at 10:58 AM
Wind has no value today..less than 2% of capacity..we are getting 10 x from coal today in NE..is it worth industrializing our oceans?
January 16, 2025 at 9:47 PM
Wind supplying 1.5% of load coal 2% ...cost 10 x summer cost..next week may see lots oil peak shaving..canada may curtail its imports due capacity issues..we are consistantly missing load projections
January 16, 2025 at 1:03 PM
Ugly power cost this am with relatively good wind production of 1000mw..heatpumps lose their efficiency and run longer at lower temps..may be why projected demand is off consistantly..
January 7, 2025 at 11:32 AM
Ugly and ramping up to peak ...7% of load is wind..so thats good..29% imports...thats very bad...oil and coal ramping up for our EV charging
January 5, 2025 at 7:51 PM
Imports up to 30% of our load, not good, coal and oil fired up..wind at 5% of out load and 50% capacity..saw only 5 of 8 turbines operational in wareham and bourne, thats not good...

January 4, 2025 at 1:47 PM
Ugly...plain ugly
January 4, 2025 at 1:46 PM
Horrendus day for solar and wind production. ..wind at 10% of capacity...at least coal is off after a week...17% imports ..if we doubled wind resoures its production would be 300 MW...tough to make money at 10% capacity .expect whinning from wind power owners
December 28, 2024 at 12:43 PM
Not much wind power into our grid today 38 MW out of 1400 MW capacity...coal is feeding grid with 280 MW...we have lost 2 whales in last week as pile driving has resumed...sacrificied on the green alter...anothet silent spring maybe..
December 27, 2024 at 5:24 PM
A miss on load and pop goes price...no help from solar and wind today....we have coal power though..
December 24, 2024 at 3:08 PM
Wind and Solar non factors on coldest day in 2 years...oil at 2250 MW and coal steady at 280 MW as we march to pm peak...
December 23, 2024 at 8:40 PM
Not only is NE most expensive power in nation but we are most unsecure and use dirty fuel...40 years of blocking cleaner sources of energy
December 23, 2024 at 12:57 PM
Yikes over $200 MW!! Oil a big peak shaver this am..big question are Queebec imports restricted because of issues of them meeting domestic load..
December 23, 2024 at 12:31 PM
Dirty oil and coal supplying at least 17% of our power today....cold days are usually calm..wind only at 25% of its capacity today, 2% of our load, if all that is proposed is built wind will supply 6% of our load on days like today. NG supplies 36%...
December 23, 2024 at 11:20 AM
Oil is fired up and we are zooming past past $200 MW...
December 22, 2024 at 10:07 PM
Looks like new heatpumps and EV are getting charged up with oil and coal today...oil is 3x wind production...wind is at most 50% capacity..vineyard winds production is a trade secret fyi
December 22, 2024 at 6:30 PM
Chocolate on White
December 22, 2024 at 1:27 PM
Actual blowing by projected load...snow covered solar panels, falling heatpump efficiences...plenty of coal power for our EV charging...price north of $120.00 MW
December 22, 2024 at 1:26 PM
Comparitively speaking not bad wind day 50% (if no vinyard wind)of capacity 5% of load..bad: imports at 28%, priceovet $110, oil and coal on for our EV charging..as temp drop heat pump efficiency falls and spike in usage and price..
December 21, 2024 at 2:48 PM
Oils on.. coals on ...solar and wind essentially out of the mix....
