Failed to locate the correct tree this morning, but had an enjoyable time undertaking an 'audit' of almost every other female Hazel flower in the area - will try again next time, if not too late by then!

Hi Roger, I'm intrigued by the Hemlock photo as I'd agonised over an ID from Wandlebury (in my collage this week) & settled on Cow Parsley as stems had some colouring but not blotches & definitely ridged - any chance you can recall a landmark for the Hemlock so I could see it when we return there?

I guessed that's what had happened - I just wanted to confirm that 'yours' were along the same path; the ones I saw were Coral Spot and well named as a nice shade of pale pink, which looks different in the rain!
