🧵 I was excited to visit Ociciwan Contemporary Art Centre for their first ever art market today!

Ociciwan is an incredibly important part of Edmonton’s art scene. Their work supports & showcases Indigenous contemporary artists & designers right here in the heart of our city 🍓

Over the past four years I've been working to ensure that O-day'min has a strong voice for those of us that call downtown home.

In this time we have had historic investments in our core from building affordable housing, investments in safety and ensure the heart of our city thrives.

The deadly incidents on our roads this weekend underscore the urgent need to address traffic safety in our city.

Council has directed City administration to develop a plan to deploy Peace Officers to help fill the gap left by the Province’s cancellation of automated enforcement.

There is nothing like our Farmers Market. With over 45 vendors each weekend it’s a summer staple in our downtown core.

We’re fortunate to have this market right in the heart of Ward O-day’min, providing opportunities to eat, drink, and shop while supporting local artisans & farmers.

Hey all. FYI, someone is circulating a letter about pet licensing, allegedly from the Mayor & Councillors. It contains misleading information re: enforcement activity/fines. This originated with a social media post and versions are popping up in Facebook groups, etc as well.

It is a fake.

The Citadel Garden (also known as the Lee Pavillion) is one of my favourite spots Downtown. The lush greenery is a year round treat and a welcome place of peace in the hustle and bustle of downtown.
