Thank you - what an extraordinary image ... I've just finished listening to the @fallofcivilizations.com episode on the Byzantine empire and this image perfectly captures for me the sense of time-depth in Istanbul/ Constantinople.

Nothing to add academically @galaxymap.bsky.social, but something that your work makes me think is how, and who by, the naming of regions in the near galaxy are assigned. #Placenames, their origins and meaning, are a big deal for #archaeologists and landscape historians.
