Geek. UX Fanatic. Tinkerer, maker, destroyer and designer at heart. Unhealthy dose of self-deprecating humour. Husband and a dad.
Funny story, prior to getting married, my soon-to-be wife complained that she wakes up with terrible headaches in the morning. Neurologist said no anomalies. I placed a CO₂ sensor and the mystery was solved. Her next course of action? Unplug the sensor.

I always approach that with “API” - assume positive intent. Maybe they feel guilty or bad that they needed help in the first place. Ego is a huge factor. Maybe they weren’t raised right. Still, you can focus on the positive - lesson learned. That doesn’t mean you should stop helping people in need.

When you try to plug stuff back there, you rarely look at the thing - you rely on touching. Increases the odds of accidentally pressing it.
