I recently needed to do some soldering on a small area like what you are showing. To make it happen, I added some melted solder onto the wire first. Then I heated the metallic hole with the iron and placed the wire on the hole. It’s also good to have some alligator clips from a stand.

Dear Prof. Merrifield, what a nice tribute to you and your father, congratulations! Please let us all know if you are successful in imagining any of these asteroids. Maybe you could also ask the fellow from Deep Sky Videos called Nik Syzmanek (from M57) to use his telescope equipment. Really Cool!
