On the bright side, since they rely on scanner, they’re not equipped for anything without a bar code.

Watched one walk past Edith Wharton first edition cuz it wouldn’t scan.

B&N bookseller here. I Was excited that we got several cases this week.

TLOLL (and the rest of the series, of course) has been top of my fantasy recommendations to both customers and my fellow booksellers for years.

Looking forward to the new covers on book 2 and 3

I’m married to a journalist and watched the internet happen to newspapers in real time.

Part of the business plan at the time was exactly that — free news online and readers will subscribe. They didn’t, at least not in large numbers.

And Once they had free stuff, some even stopped subscribing.
