My Canadian hometown had an M&S foodhall. Every Xmas I return with much missed M&S treats. Every year I buy too much to fit in my case. Now 4 days to eat extra mince pies, crisps, & chocolate. PS Foodhall is also why I am strangely fond of kippers b/c my grandad used to buy them for breakfast.

One of many Cambridge street watercolours I did 30-40 years ago. Working on the spot uniquely preserves memories and feelings. The shop signs at that time in Green St were extravagantly beautiful and the passers by were sketched in quickly. Still have this one.

I know it’s the most boring & predictable thing to write but I have now lived in England’s second smallest city for 2 weeks and I can’t get over the friendliness. Drinks at my neighbours, chats at my local, lots of hello’s on my morning walks. It feels so cozy and peaceful.
