Your money also goes to support those reporters David praises in his post. But I get not wanting to support the Times Editorial Board. Have you looked at any of the smaller, new media outlets like Publicola? Money given to them makes a real difference.

I appreciate your work and hope you get a strong editor and lead. That said, given NYT's egregious behavior at other levels of mgmt, my other hope is that you and said editor nestle in at ProPublica or a scrappy startup that you'll be proud of even if they can't pay you what you're worth.
