Much of the flooding in Sumatra (Indonesia), Peninsular Malaysia, and southern Thailand was caused by an exceedingly rare tropical storm, Cyclone Senyar, in the Malacca Strait.

Unfortunately #Senyar has been a very impactful system. Widespread flooding appears to have taken the lives of hundreds of people across #Thailand, #Malaysia, & #Indonesia. 😔
