One of the (South East) London Elite who, apparently, control everything. Why we're not in the EU with a Lib Dem PM and Everton top of the league is, then, a mystery.
Or stop voting for them.

Precisely. With a hung parliament the other parties have a once in a lifetime opportunity to force reform. Once there's an overall majority again, the opportunity is lost.

From bitter experience in the UK, I'd say to the NDP to not even enter into any negotiations without a guarantee of electoral reform.

"Can we talk confidence and supply?"

"Will you introduce electoral reform?"

"We can talk about it"

"F©®k off, then."

"But..."

"Electoral reform. Or f©®k off."

With their dismissal of electoral reform a vote for Labour was always a vote for a future overall Tory majority.

Now it's beginning to look like a vote for a future overall Reform majority.

Median disposable income is not £37,430 per person!

Median *gross annual income* for *full time employees* is £37,430.

They really should stop letting financial illiterates write these pieces.

But you're not, unconditionally, free using a privately owned facility. The owners can restrict actions that inconvenience and annoy.

If you want to listen to music without headphones, do it outside the shop/church/theatre/restaurant.

I don't think public ownership removes this.

I think the criterion of harm is too much for public facilities.

"We" pay for/subsidise/otherwise provide for them in common.

"We" surely are allowed to regulate use beyond actual harm.

The thing is that the Praetorian guard starts controlling, rather than protecting, the emperor.

Don't be respectful. Prove me wrong. Rub my nose in how wrong I am!

Please.

The assassination of Julius Caesar didn't restore the republic, though.

Depressingly it may be that once you've got to a Caesar it's too late.

Clegg does X, Clegg gets Y. There's a long way to go before X because of Y.

Did you study maths in order to snag the Countdown gig and make money?

I thought gruntled was an invention of P. G. Wodehouse.

Does that mean it's correct?

Way to go Plum!

Just a suggestion but those "American" places (except for Hawaii) adjoin Canada. And even with Hawaii, us Brits can cope with island territories. Why not just, sort of, leave the US and come back. We'll pretend 1776 never happened. And teach you cricket.

In right handed men the left testicle tends to hang lower.

In left handed men the right testicle tends hang lower.

The next time you're at a social occasion mention that fact. Then watch all the men nip to the loo to check.
