🙈 As a dedicated clinical research site, financially, this is not a budget that you should EVER agree to.

This sponsor is suppressing the major procedures and costs of the trial under the guise that it would be billed to insurance, but a dedicated research site wouldn't bill anything to insurance.

How many projects are you working on that make you feel like this? The oncology studies tend to be the slowest.😅

🔮NOBODY has a crystal ball. 🔮

Research Sites -- If you aren't getting enough clinical trial funding on a study, RENEGOTIATE! 🔨

As expenses pile up -- staff and vendors need to be paid. Dive into your budget and figure out where the disconnect is.

UPDATE❗ on the holdback release for an overpayment made.

☢️ Double standards alert ☢️

The same CRO rejected my request saying that they "didn't receive the holdback money in advance on this study."

HOWEVER, I tried a different CRO/Sponsor and they approved the request. Interesting!

It feels amazing being able to condense a 2000+ character social media post into 300 characters for BSKY. 😅

📉 Anyone else prefer CRIOs old reporting over the Looker Reports? Filters are nice, but there is a max of 500 lines of data

CRIO told me it was "expected behavior" and that I need to filter 500 lines at a time😆 😢

Some sites have 10,000+ lines 🌪️ that means you have to piecemeal individual reports

The Uncomfortable Reality of Clinical Trials
How do we make clinical trials make sense to participants and study sponsors?

💫 THE BIG Oops! This CRO forgot to clean their master excel file for a clinical research trial before providing the template to the site.

They had a 40% ADDITIONAL CUSHION on top of where they expected to negotiate.

That means as long as the budget comes in <24k they profit off of the site.

Looking into CTMS solutions for currently relatively low throughput research site.

What are people using? What’s best suited for #GeneralPractice #FamilyMedicine research sites ?

🤠 Oh I said I was going to do it!

Insolvent Sponsor + Overdue Payment + Withholding Due = This Email with the same CRO.

🧐 Now lets see how the other half of this situation plays out.

‼️ Clinical Research Withholding - THIS CRO justifies holding our sites money in case they make an error, to make sure they can "make the site whole" when payments are owed. 😵

How about give us the money WE ARE OWED, and if YOU make an error YOU wait until more money is earned on the study? ✅

"Intentionally generous" 🕵

A CRO provided a Research Site this budget.

With that conviction maybe we should just accept it without looking at it?

Let me take a quick peek... HEY WAIT A MINUTE!!

We just negotiated a budget with $42,000 of study startup items. This one needs major work.

A 441 Day Outstanding Invoice! 🤒 Clinical Research sites -- don't let this be you.

We're working with a client who broke ties with their SMO.

We are cleaning up their mess, that way moving forward payments will come in more regularly.
