This debacle of Microsoft's VSCode extensions & Marketplace being proprietary is a cat and mouse game.
You can download&install any extension from their API manually and use it. Proprietary extensions? Bye then.

Here's hoping that they don't continue further and devs not rebel and only use OpenVSX.
