We used to say the US is great because the US is good (or at least tried to be). What shall we say now? If this is the way my country wants to behave, I'm not sure it matters any more whether Russia, China, or the US holds global dominance. What's the difference?

In my field (Engineering) most employers do care about grades, and certainly it matters when applying to grad school.

The problem is that grades are also used by prospective employers to assess candidates, where time-to-completion of work duties matters. Providing accommodations is important to help with the learning process, but employers also deserve to know when accommodations have been provided.
