As we* hoped, my co-authored marine GDGT « cookbook » review paper was accepted for publication in the @egu.eu journal Biogeosciences after peer-review and (minor) revision! 🥳 🍾

Title and author list of the online preprint by Bijl and Sliwinksa et al. (submitted to Biogeosciences) EGUsphere (https://doi.org/10.5194/egusphere-2025-1467) entitled "Reviews and syntheses: Best practices for the application of marine GDGTs as proxy for paleotemperatures: sampling, processing, analyses, interpretation, and archiving protocols", with a note which reads "Revised manuscript accepted for BG"—"BG" stands for "Biogeosciences"—and the co-editor-in-chief’s comment which reads "This publication provides a comprehensive review of the use of GDGTs (Glycerol Dialkyl Glycerol Tetraethers) for reconstructing past temperatures, with a particular focus on marine applications. It covers the full research workflow — from sample collection and processing to analytical methodologies, data interpretation, and data archiving. Importantly, the authors highlight best practices and propose recommendations to standardize approaches across the field. This review therefore serves as a valuable reference for both the paleoclimatology and organic geochemistry communities.".
