When Senate Bill 5 was passed, teacher merit pay was implemented in Ohio. It didn’t work, and the bill was repealed just months later through a statewide referendum.

Vivek Ramaswamy wants to eliminate the Department of Education. That cuts back on the guardrails our public schools need to serve ALL students, and empowers bad actors to drain public resources with vouchers. When public schools collapse, the 90% of students who attend them lose out.
