A mildly unimpressive person.
Tracy’s criticisms are often vaguely directionally correct, but his attention-seeking contrarianism inevitably leads to him going way too far and making an ass of himself (and undercutting any correct observation he may have made)

To be fair, I think blocking people you politically align with, but who consistently have takes you disagree with probably does help reduce infighting.

I’ve also had bad experiences with display screens (and I think I’ve seen a study which said they caused accidents), but backup cameras and auto detection breaking are really nice safety features that only became super widespread in the past decade or so.

You’re right. God forbid they embarrass themselves in the sacred discourse grounds. (the comments of a Will Stancil post.)

Luke’s father did work for the empire, but he was a mid-level reserve officer who retired years before the conflict and died of natural causes.

It is likely that the narrative of him turning against the empire in his final days was fabricated by rebel propagandists and played up by Luke himself.

Isn’t he speculating about what other people might do rather than making direct suggestions here?

I guess you could say that the U.S backing the RSF is such a stupid and insane idea that even speculating about it is a form of endorsement, but that seems a bit unfair to me.

I think Trump using the federal government to try to undermine NY could be really good for people’s perception of him.

It would give him an easy explanation for almost any problems the city faces, that might otherwise be blamed on him.

But if I can come up with a political rational, then the person I hate becomes evil, and if they are evil, then I can feel like an activist when I obsess over them and harass them.

I might have hoped that the woman who was the First Lady of the United States during the Rwandan Genocide to understand that there are some actions so obviously horrific that any reasonable observer would disregard any historical context, and just demand that it stop.

Genuinely asking:

If the brand of the Democratic Party is so sullied by things the base finds important that even moderate Dems are unpopular, wouldn’t it be easier to simply run moderates as independents or 3rd party than to completely change the values and perception of the Democrats?

“If these people knew I was obsessed with harming them and their loved ones they would wish violence upon me”

Fascinating.

I turn back to look at the “tame” crocodile behind me. It has taken a step closer, its jaw has opened an inch wider. Malicious glee fills its eyes.

“At least it isn’t woke” I sigh as I turn back around to keep curb stomping an orphan.

It’s because they see Muslims in their community being decent, normal, people, and cannot square this with the idea of the savage radical Muslim in their minds.

They deal with this contradiction by assuming all Muslims in Western Countries must be adhering to a secret code to fool them.

Leftism is when you hate Pete Buttigieg, and the more you hate Pete Buttigieg, the more leftist you are, and when you make homophobic jokes about Pete Buttigieg, (Leftistly, of course) that’s communism.

It is incredibly funny reading this thread for the first time now, and seeing your complaints about act 3, and thinking “ahhh poor guy, looks like the difficulty might have been a bit overturned for him, ahh well, some games aren’t for everyone” and then seeing this immediately below it.

This is objectively the quickest, easiest, least dick-pinchingest way to do it, but the procedure-brained liberal elite oppose it because they hate us.

It’s the right term. Even if I accept that today’s democrats are literally as far right as Reagan, moderate would still be the right term since it is generally used relative to the political climate of the place and time you are talking about.
October 28, 2025 at 7:35 PM
They might be right that the Democratic Party has been so poisoned in the minds of some voters that the only way to win them back would be totally abandoning progressivism, but:

1. Even that might not be enough.

2. Seems like an easier fix would be for the moderates to just start a 3rd party.
