We laugh out loud every time that poor bird is tossed overboard. I don't even think they give it an umbrella as a parachute do they?

But sadly this year Charlie Brown is no longer on reg. broadcast or cable. Only streaming on Apple. I know this is the world in which we live now but...I always liked the "watch it tonight or miss it" nature of the Xmas specials.

And if there IS any method to his madness (not much), he does it when he wants to pull focus...away from war crimes and murder perhaps?

Absolutely. A practical solution that lives within the realm of possibility.

In this entire conversation I couldn't understand why no one was pointing that out.That's exactly what it is. People go on, pick their plan, and pay for it. Whether the subsidy is paid directly by the govt or handed to the consumer doesn't change what plans are available or how much it costs.

Sadly I did not. Nor did I this past election even though both times I threw myself into it with everything I had and hoped that I was wrong. Nothing would make me happier than being wrong on this but so far...nope

I was going to say - there are a lot of men who really underestimate the level of sexism and misogyny in this country.

What a failure of leadership. Leadership isn't just what happens behind closed doors. It's also about the message you send to the American people. And this was a message of spinelessness - the opposite of what we voted for Tuesday.
