I'm a geomorphologist, avid boater, Seahawks fan, and progressive voter. A liberal gun-owner that drives an F-150 and a Prius, depending on which suits my need. A scientist who admits when I am wrong (despite what my wife says).
That's the TD by Parkinson last week that you're talking about, right? It was clearly a backwards pass and Seattle clearly recovered it in the end zone. How is that a misapplication of the rules? It was the right call and the only problem with it is the refs didn't call it right to begin with.

Check the rules PJ. Whistle doesn't preclude recovery of a fumble. It just means the recovering team can't advance it. Since he recovered in the end zone, whether there was a whistle or not, it's a TD.

It's just that neither of them is a FORWARD pass. So they're not treated as a forward pass, which is the only type of pass that the play dies on an incompletion. Sideways or backwards and it's a live ball if it hits the ground.

Murph at Top Billin' showed a breakdown of the punt return. Pretty much every Ram player went to the right side of the field. Maybe 2 on the left side, and both being blocked by Seattle. Really curious if Seattle lured them to the right somehow, or if the Rams just screwed it up.

I have sympathy for the enlisted soldier pulling the trigger. Who knows what they were told. They're trained to obey, and the punishment for refusing is severe. Every officer above them? They are trained and trusted to make decisions, and are responsible for the actions of those under their command.

Seattle's play action DVOA is so high, but they only go to it 1/4 of the time. The whole first half of the Colts game was shotgun or running plays. Then they went to more PA in the 2nd half and actually started moving the ball halfway decently.

It sounds like he's researched this topic. Extensively. Maybe obsessively...

I'd guess he's talking about himself...

Ahh, I'm old enough to remember when the GOP said executive orders were bad...

My grandfather emigrated from Norway a little over 100 years ago. Since the last election, we've been thinking more and more about trying to move our part of the family back.

If more urgent action is needed, there are DAM better ways to accomplish it. The Corps of Engineers determined the best course of action, economically, over 20 years ago. It wasn't hunting sea lions. Why not do what the experts suggest?

You are very good at putting party lines aside. Like your vote on H.R. 4371 that allows ICE to separate children from their families for long periods or time and conduct invasive searches on them. One example of the many times you've betrayed the American people. You should be ashamed.

So...how open are you to immigrants from the US? Because your spa and the snow sound pretty damn nice...

The firm I work at does a ton of environmental permitting. There is room for improvement. For one, hire more review staff. DOGE did the opposite. But saying the process is heavily abused is like saying a restraining orders are heavily abused because they prevent men from keeping their women in line.

Lets give Egypt and Israel (and maybe FIFA?) the inaugural Seattle Peace Prize and see if they change their tune...

Ah, that makes sense!
The Skagit peaked this morning just above its historic high level. But now waters are receding, and hopefully this break in the rain will let things dry out a bit.

Who is DS? I came through the Snoqualmie Valley yesterday and it was a mess.
December 12, 2025 at 4:12 AM
Looking at the rainfall totals this morning, and Snohomish County was in a rain shadow for most of this. About half an inch is all, while Skagit and King got close to 3 times that. Of course the bigger rivers originate in the mountains where over 10 inches fell in some places...
December 11, 2025 at 10:54 PM
The County is presently working on a plan to provide better access across the Snoqualmie between Carnation and Duvall. Flood regulations and agricultural preservation make it very tricky, but they are working on it. This flood will probably help keep the momentum up.

Right? Why are they trying to find something new and different? There are dozens of effective models out there that are both cheaper and better, but the corporate-owned senators and representatives won't even discuss them.

Is Stafford a quality QB? His stat line against Seattle was 15/28 for 130 yards.
Seattle can only play the teams on their schedule, but they gave Stafford his worst game of the season.

It's not just him, and not just the Republican. It's the voters that put them in power. The US might be better off today if Lincoln had let the Confederacy secede. But the tragedy of slavery would probably still be going strong there.

So, the subsidies are "socialism" and therefore evil. But handing out money directly to people (farmers, people needing insurance, etc.) is NOT socialism, and is actually a good thing to do?
