In June, Einstein's office of community engagement and outreach celebrated the graduation of twenty EMT students from twelve local high schools and two colleges. They were part of the Bronx HOPE-Code One School. Students now qualify to take the New York State #EMT exam.

At this week’s #EinsteinOrientation2025, first-year M.D. & M.D./Ph.D. were introduced to the Ruth L. Gottesman Clinical Skills Center, where they were trained in basic life support skills. Later they gathered outside and took part in a series of fun and challenging activities.

The Einstein Omics Club hosted a presentation and awards ceremony on July 25 to celebrate its 2025 #Biohackathon. On July 20, four teams comprised of Ph.D. students, MSTP students, and postdocs took part in the day-long competition in the Forchheimer Medical Science Building.

Last week, the office of community engagement and outreach hosted Einstein’s second annual Dr. Hal Strelnick Day. The day celebrated Dr. Strelnick’ s support of programs and partnerships that encourage local #Bronx #highschool and #undergraduate students to pursue careers in medicine.
