As someone who lives in a country with a permanently outraged shadow/opposition cabinet, where the media, who loves controversy, actually covers what they say… you need a vocal and visible shadow cabinet!

At least at the Smithsonian museums, they play incredibly loud and discordant music outside. I presumed it was to deter ‘the wrong sort’ of people from spending too much time hanging out there. Literally too loud to have a normal conversation.
