Last night the national anthems of both the United States and Japan were performed on a piano that was wheeled out onto the field. I’ve been to thousands (?) of sporting events in my life and have never seen an anthem done this before. It was so moving, simple, and spectacular.

Helmcken Falls in British Columbia, Canada, ejects so much spray in the air that in winter an enormous ice cone is formed, which can grow to 200 ft or taller, with some remnants still visible in June.

An incarcerated writer spent over a year in excruciating pain before medical professionals finally took her seriously. Then she was diagnosed with stage 4 cervical cancer.
She Was in Constant Pain. They Told Her It Was Normal.
In prison, we have to fight for a diagnosis before we can fight the disease.
