Obviously if you app comes with a PDS then have em' signup through that but one inhibiting factor I've seen from people is they don't really want to run a PDS and that's totally fair.

I hope one is an MP3 player. A good iPod like device that can be hacked in an open source way would be really neat. And if it could double as a pebble core that would be real nice too lol

I get why they did it though, if he keep 1 hitting everyone they get less time seeing him actually use his boxing skills. So I chalk it up to Detective Ma getting old lol

The answere feels like atproto to me. Is it techy? Yes. But so was ChatGPT and yet here we are with that sticking. Call it an atproto handle and call it a day. What its named really means nothing its the sign up flow that matters the most IMO

This is how I always wanted comments to go. It puts it in a mode much like Disqus which I loved back in the day because it was a sort of unified commenting standard and held my discussions all across the web

From a romantic perspective its for sure saddening that the medium is getting conceptually automated away. But it feels inevitable when you understand the type of people who make games historically.

Ultimately I think its a matter of what and where the AI is being used in the workflow. Developers are likely gonna be using AI for code related things 80% of the time and thats gonna go up. Its increasingly in all code related tools. Concept art and asset creation likely far lower due to backlash.

The benefit being that theres a diversity of payment types. Say an atproto Patreon competitor were to arise and they have difficulty with stripe due to censorship on NSFW content. x402 means you can take any other type of payment from many facilitators all in the same user friendly payment flow.

x402 right now is using stablecoins, but its not locked into that. It could conceivably have facilitators that only use fiat like stripe. Or better yet that can hide the use of stablecoins to the end user. And all of this is standardized so any atproto app could use it and be cross-compatible.

This is why I think the real hinderance of linux adoption isn't the OS itself. Its the first install problem. Poeple will use the OS given to them and so Linux can only gain if its a pre-installed option.

My mom bought a chromebook by mistake. I told her it was a chromebook and when setting it up she told me what she needed to access. Everything she needed for her job was accessed through the browser. Including all the entertainment apps.

One of the big reasons for this is that most people don't even engage with the OS past navigating to the web browser. Its actually very funny that Google was correct in there thinking that all computing would be in the browser. They just bet too soon.
